We utilize a technology called PCO, which is Photo-catalytic Oxidation. The NANO O2 sterilizes the air on contact without the need for filters or even cleanings. The NANO O2™ Air Purifiers utilize state-of-the-art PCO technology superior to any product currently on the market today.  The NANO O2™ Cell technology is far superior to the older stand alone UV lamps and catalytic oxidation methods with only one catalyst agent used in competitor air purifiers. This is the latest advanced oxidation technology that consists of a proprietary, high-intensity broad spectrum UV lamp in a hydrated catalytic cell utilizing our patent-pending chamber coating. Ozone that is produced within the cell via the HE/UV lamp is immediately converted into airborne beneficial hydro peroxides (H2O2), hydroxyl ions (OH-), super oxide ions(O2-) and ozonide ions(O3-)  via the metallic catalyst coatings. Titanium Oxides also enhances the destruction of airborne mold, bacteria and virus molecules.

The original NANO O2™ PCO Cell was designed for use in a central HVAC system. This provides the fastest and most effective oxidizer distribution. Rhodium, Titanium and other metallic coatings were added as a catalyst to emit cleaning ions. Then improved hydration compounds were also added to increase hydrogen content and a total new target concept was used. A 360 degree cell provided maximum exposure of the catalysts. The bulb was reworked and a HE/UV Broad Spectrum 100-3-NM bulb with a heavy duty filament was developed. This combined with a soft start ballast gave the new NanoO2 Cell an unprecedented 3 year, 25,000 hour life. This was a major improvement over the current standard 8,000-10,000 hour UV bulb life. The most important improvement was the efficacy, the new cell design created more hydro peroxides, super oxide ions while bringing down ozone levels to only .01-.015 ppm (less then half the federal max safe levels). Country or forest air is usually around .01-.02 ppm of ozone.

VOC’s explained: (Volatile Organic Compounds) are harmful vapors that are emitted from items such as glue, paint, laminated furniture, pressed wood, cleaning compounds and certain aerosols. If there is not sufficient ventilation with the outdoor air and VOC’s are present, the indoor pollution levels can be up to 10 times higher than the outdoor air according to the EPA. The NANO O2 UV-PCO(UV Photo Catalytic Oxidation) technology has proven to reduce the levels of VOC’s in all home testing. The interaction of UV-C light and the permanent titanium dioxide (TiO2) grid inside the chamber cell serve as a photocatalyst to reduce the concentration of airborne pollutants such as volatile organic compounds into harmless elements. As a safety feature, the UV-C lights and titanium dioxide grids are located on the inner most section of the NanoO2 cell to prevent you from coming into contact with the rays of the UV lights.
